Hello Luis,

here are some news ..

The vv team has grown up, we are now four people (Romulo, Vivien, Simon and I) contributing regularly. VV still remains a side-project, growing slowly because each of us only contributes at about 5% time on it, but it goes well and most people in our group (researchers and clinic) use it intensively every day. We also know other users around the world but do not have a real count.

Thanks to Mathieu Malaterre (Mr GDCM, which in Lyon too), we hope to let vv be compatible with ITKv4 soon, many thank again Mathieu ! As joel said, the cdash has been temporarily stopped due to Joel departure, but one person here (probably Romulo) will start it up in some days.

We also hope to work with Julien Jomier, in the new Kitware office, which is in Lyon too. A first reply to a call for project (lead by Simon Rit) has already been submitted with a tiny part related to Kitware-Lyon. Hopefully in the future other projects will be set.

I saw that a workshop on ITKv4 will be proposed at Miccai 2011. I wonder if vv cannot be useful for you during the course : helping the student to quickly visualized their images and their registration output (fast light weight image viewer, tiny dicom browser, images overlay, vector field visualisation, segmentation superimposition etc). However, you probably already use something like Slice3D for that, but anyway, if you think it can help, please do not hesitate.

A new release of VV will be propose soon (I will announce it on the mailing list).

Sincerely,
David

On Wed, Mar 30, 2011 at 11:34 PM, Joel Schaerer <joel.schaerer@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi Luis,

I have moved on to another job, so I've disabled my builds for now. Fortunately, new people are working on it at the moment, and I think they are even working on porting vv to ITKv4 and gdcm2, for real this time! I'll leave it to them to tell you what their plans for the dashboard are.
Hi David, Pierre, Joel,

I hope you are doing well.

We are cleaning up the ITK Dashboard
and found that there is a build from

cluster.creatis

Fedora12-x86_64-gcc4.4.4

http://www.cdash.org/CDash/viewSite.php?siteid=3275&project=2¤ttime=1301446800

That has not submitted in 32 days
(since Feb 25, 2011).

Would you happen to know the person
who maintains this build ?

We are marking it as a non-expected
build now, but would like to know if it
ever comes back online.

Many thanks,

Luis
