Denis Friboulet est né à
Bordeaux en 1961. Il est ingénieur (Génie Electrique, 1984) et docteur (Génie
biomédical, 1990) de l'INSA de Lyon. Il a travaillé de 1990 à 1991 à l'Institute
of Mathematics and Computer Science in Medicine de
l'Université de Hambourg (RFA). Il est actuellement Professeur à l'INSA de Lyon
et est membre de CREATIS.
Ses activités de recherche
concernent le traitement du signal (analyse spectrale, modélisation
statistique) et le traitement de l'image (modèles déformables évoluant à partir
des statistiques image, segmentation par ensembles de niveau, estimation et
analyse de mouvement), avec pour application principale l'imagerie
echocardiographique.
Denis Friboulet was born in
Bordeaux, France in 1961. He received the engineering degree (electrical
engineering) in 1984 and the Ph.D. degree (biomedical engineering) in 1990,
both from the National Institute for Applied Sciences of Lyon (INSA-Lyon). He
worked from 1990 to 1991 at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science in Medicine at
the University of Hamburg (FRG). He is currently Professor at INSA-Lyon and is
working at the CREATIS laboratory.
His research
interests include signal processing (spectral analysis, statistical modelling)
and image processing (statistics-based deformable models, level-set based
segmentation, motion estimation and analysis), applied in the field of
echocardiographic imaging.
