Born in 1961 in Cracow, Poland.

Diploma of engineer and MSc degree in electronics, received in 1985 from the Technical University of Warsaw (Politechnika Warszawska), Poland.

MSc degree (1986) and PhD degree (1990) in Automatics and Signal Processing, received from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG), France.

Habilitation degree (enabling to direct research), received in 2003 from the National Institute for Applied Sciences of Lyon (INSA-Lyon), France.

Since 1992, researcher at the Center for Research and Applications in Image and Signal Processing (CREATIS).

From 1992 to 2004, associate professor at the Electrical Engineering (GE) department of the National Institute for Applied Sciences of Lyon (INSA-Lyon), France.

Since 1997, in charge of collaboration with Grupo Imagíne, Grupo Ingeniería Biomédica, Departamento de Sistemas y Computación, Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia1.

Since 2004, in charge of academic relationships between INSA-Lyon and Poland. See information on EURINSA section and on the international policy of INSA-Lyon.

Since 2004, professor of computer science at the Institute of Technology (IUTB) of the University of Lyon (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1), France.

Since 2006, head of the scientific software development group (info-dev) in CREATIS. See CreaTools project.

Main research topics: dynamic image and 3D vascular image processing. See publications.
