the intensive care unit of the Croix Rousse hospital used the crea-SDRA software

Since the end of 2022, the intensive care unit of the Croix Rousse hospital has used the creaSDRA software with the artificial intelligence module developed within the framework of Ludmilla Penarrubia's thesis defended on December 5, 2022.

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which may be a consequence of Covid-19 for example, requires mechanical ventilation to control hypoxemia (decreased oxygen levels in the blood).

The goal is to quickly map in a few minutes from the scanner images the aeration of the lungs of a patient suffering from ARDS and thus personalize the parameters of mechanical ventilation.

The creaSDRA software was developed by Eduardo Dávila with the advice of Jean-Christophe Richard and Maciej Orkisz.
