Emboli
detection is a major topic in stroke prevention. This project is based on a
transcranial Doppler that allows long sessions of monitoring of the middle
cerebral artery (MCA), on ambulatory patients, using a robotic probe. This
project has two objectives. (1) Optimize Doppler signal quality throughout the
monitoring sessions by controlling the positioning of the Doppler probe in
relation to the MCA. (2) The development of a tool to assist in the
characterization and classification of emboli by deep learning methods.
