Position Title: Research assistend (Tomographic Procedures)
About Fraunhofer Society:

Responsibilities:
Development of innovative algorithms for image reconstruction from computed tomography systems
Implementation of image segmentation methods to extract relevant information from reconstructed images
Development of software solutions to support research projects and optimization of existing tools
Mathematical modeling and solution of inverse problems in the field of image reconstruction
Integration of AI methods to enhance image quality and automate reconstruction processes
Documentation and presentation of research results both internally and at scientific conferences
Qualifications:
Programming skills in Python and experience in algorithm development
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
A completed PhD is possible and can be supported within the role; however, candidates who are already PhD holders are also welcome
Solid knowledge of image reconstruction methods and their applications
Experience in software development in a research context
Good understanding of inverse problems and their solutions
Experience with AI methods and their implementation in image processing
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in developing segmentation algorithms
Knowledge of supervised and semi-supervised learning approaches
Experience with reinforcement learning techniques
