Remy PROST received his doctorate degree in Electronics Engineering and his " Docteur es Sciences " degree from Lyon University and the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Lyon, France, in 1977 and 1987 respectively. He is currently a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at INSA -Lyon. Both his teaching and research interests include digital signal processing, inverse problems, image data compression, multiresolution algorithms, wavelets, and meshes processing. He leads the ' Volume (3D) Image Processing ' project in the CREATIS Laboratory (CNRS #5220) at INSA-Lyon. Since 1982 he is a member of the IEEE.
