Creatools install instructions (v2.0.1) win32 (Normal User)

  1. Uninstall the previous version if any.
  2. Download the latest version of the installer. Save the .rar archive anywhere, e.g. in the tmp directory.
  3. Extract the files from the .rar archive anywhere, e.g. tmp too. If you don't have the software necessary to open .rar archives, you can download and install one by clicking here.
  4. Run the extracted file named download_install.bat. Make sure that your computer is connected to internet while installing !
  5. The installer consecutively opens a number of wizards corresponding to various components of the CreaTools. Each of them prompts you to accept the license and the install location. Check "Add to the system PATH for all users" in all wizards that ask this question.
  6. Download and install Qt http://get.qtsoftware.com/qtsdk/qt-sdk-win-opensource-2009.03.1.exe or here
    Add to the system variable PATH ;C:Qt2009.03bin
    (Start->Control Panel->System->Avance->Variables d'environment->Variables system->PATH)
  7. Try to run CreaTools > bbtk > bbStudio. It works? Enjoy!
  8. Getting Started with CreaTools >>
If instead of bbStudio window you find a message about a missing dll, this usually means that there is a conflict with an old version of a third-party library such as vtl, itk, tcl..., already present in the system PATH. This old version is probably useful for some software installed on your computer. You can solve the conflict by manually copying all the dlls from crea_ThirdParty_dlls-2.0.0bin to bbtk-0.9.1bin.
