Rémy PROST received his doctorate degree in Electronics Engineering and his Docteur ès Sciences degree (Ph. D degree) from Lyon University and the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Lyon, France, in 1977 and 1987 respectively. Past Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at INSA-Lyon. Emeritus Professor from September 2016 up to August 31, 2022. Since September 2022 it is honorary Professor. Both his teaching and research interests include signal and images processing, inverse problems, image data compression, multiresolution algorithms, wavelets, shape modelling and three-dimensional mesh processing. Past leader of the ‘Images and Models’ project in the CREATIS Laboratory (CNRS UMR 5220, INSERM U1206, INSA-Lyon, Claude Bernard Lyon I University, University of Lyon, France). Rémy Prost is Life Member of the IEEE.
