Welcome to the professional web page of Dr. Pilar Sango Solanas. PSS is a physicist who graduated from Universidad de Zaragoza. In 2018, she received the Master degree in Medical Physics in the Université de Rennes 1. She started in 2018 a thesis in Magnetic Resonance Elastography via Optimal Control theory under the supervision of Olivier Beuf from CNRS, Kevin Tse Ve Koon from Université de Lyon 1 and Cyrielle Caussy from Hospices Civils de Lyon, Hôpital Lyon Sud. She successfully defended her Ph.D thesis on the 13st of December 2021. In 2022, she worked for one year as associate professor in the Electrical Engineering Department of INSA Lyon. In october 2022 she was appointed as associate professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University Institute of Technology Lyon 1 (IUT Lyon 1, GEII) and carries her researches in the MAGICS team of the CREATIS laboratory.
Content:
Research interests
PSS’s expertise lies in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE)
The main contribution of PSS thesis to MRE is the application of Optimal Control (OC) Theory to generate RF pulses able to encode motion into the phase of the NMR signal, allowing very short echo times..
Future Research Directions: flow MRI, multiparametric liver MRI
