The 4th edition of the French Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Imaging (IABM) was held in Lyon from March 9 to 11, 2026.
The aim of this event is to review recent methodological advances in artificial intelligence applied to biological and medical imaging, as well as their clinical and preclinical applications. The conference brings together a multidisciplinary community including mathematicians, computer scientists, physicists, biologists, and physicians.
Organized by the CREATIS laboratory (many thanks to everyone who contributed their time, especially the students), the conference welcomed more than 350 participants over three days this year, representing a 20% increase compared to the previous edition. The program featured eight invited talks delivered by experts covering a broad range of topics — from image acquisition to algorithm explainability — as well as a tutorial on physics-guided machine learning, a clinical and industrial transfer session, poster sessions, short presentations highlighting the best student contributions, and a half-day dedicated to the young researchers’ network of the community.
